We are lovers, supporters, dreamers, and action heroes. We want everyone to be abundant, and experience ease and grace in all their manifestations. What is $20 bucks anyway? Well, if we have our way, it means a new car or house or computer to someone who needs a little support. We love you.
This sort of community funding can be a great idea and who knows how far it can go. My rockclimbing community has banded together and helped it members when somebody is hurt, orphaned and so on. Sadly, there have been circumstances where somebody collecting the money used some in ways that contributers weren’t comfortable with. (to put it mildly)
Because asking for money for cars, computers and such, and administering where money like that goes, is a task requiring wisdom and integrity, my suggestion is that this group clearly identify who the decision makers are, and some criteria regarding how decisions are made. The more transparency the better.
Perhaps it’s a small matter at this stage, but it was even a smaller matter before when friends were just asking friends for specific help. It’s obviously growing now and this will inevitably require an evolution in approach.
